The Erlun Nature Trail is four kilometers in length and is located in 27 hectares of forest land. During the Japanese Occupation, it was called Sifandi, and the sandy soil on the riverbed became mounds over years. Now it is designed to be an ecological greenery trail park. 

二崙自然步道全長四公里，位於27公頃的保安林地內。日治時期稱四番地，河床的沙土經年累月積沙成丘，如今規劃成為綠意盎然的生態步道園區。

The trail undulates along the topography of the sand dunes and to walk on the soft golden sand is a very special experience.   Along the way, it had set up an Asparagus setaceus plank road, a suspension bridge, a lake viewing platform, an outdoor insect classroom, a breathable pavilion rest areas and so on. On both sides of the Asparagus setaceus plank road are planted with Asparagus setaceus, commonly known as bridal grass, which is full of romantic atmosphere. The trail is equipped with plant ecological introduction boards. You can gain your knowledge while hiking. There is a lake viewing platform at the end of the trail to get the great view and you can easily come back from another trial.  A lap is very leisurely easy, and suitable for all ages.

步道順著沙丘地形起伏，走在鬆軟金黃的沙地上，非常特別。沿途規劃設置了文竹棧道、吊橋、觀湖平臺、戶外昆蟲教室、會呼吸的涼亭以及休憩區等。文竹棧道兩旁種滿俗稱新娘草的文竹，充滿浪漫氛圍，步道設有植物生態解說牌，健行之餘增長見聞，步道至底有觀湖平臺，眺望湖面風光明媚，由另一條路回程環形一圈，十分悠閒輕鬆，老少咸宜。

Erlun Township has a flat terrain and fertile soil. It is an important agricultural production area in Taiwan. The watermelons grown on the land by irrigation of  Zhuoshui River have excellent taste and quality.   Therefore, the "Ziqiang Fruit and Vegetable Market" located next to the trail provides a variety of watermelon transaction & distribution, with important collection transactions, transportation and sales functions, that deliver and sell local fruits and vegetables throughout Taiwan.  Rice, watermelons, and cantaloupes in Erlun are even more famous, and they are known as the finest barn in Taiwan.   Every May, Erlun Township Office holds the "Erlun Watermelon Festival" here, that has attracted people from all over the country to taste watermelons and buy big watermelons.

二崙鄉地勢平坦，土壤肥沃，為台灣重要農業生產地，濁水溪浮覆地所種的西瓜，口感極佳品質冠全台。因此位於步道旁的「自強果菜市場」提供多樣品種的西瓜集散交易，具重要的集貨交易及運銷功能，讓產地蔬果運銷全台各地。二崙米、西瓜、香瓜，更是聞名遐邇，素有本省穀倉之雅號。每年5月二崙鄉公所在此辦理「二崙西瓜節」，吸引來自全國民眾到場品嘗西瓜並購買大西瓜。
