The Sinchang Koi Fish Farm in Lunbei Township covers three hectares and had raises over hundreds of thousands of Koi fish.  It does not deliberately spread bird nets to protect the fry, but adopts the natural elimination method to let birds prey and naturally weed out small fish with low vitality.  In addition to supply the domestic market, it is also exported to Southeast Asia, Europe, and America.   It makes Yunlin's aquaculture industry more advanced into the international market.   Koi was introduced to China from Central Asia in the early days, and then from China to Japan. It is a symbol of wealth and auspiciousness in Chinese culture. It is often used as the subject of artistic creation. Koi, as an ornamental fish, is known as a "swimming gem" in Japan. It is well known as the name given from the beautiful white, black, yellow, and red patterns on the koi. It is loved by the Japanese and has become one of the Japanese imagery.
