The visitor center located in the Taisi Hai-Ko Tourist Zone is one of the hundred sites where the Yunlin County Government holds agricultural expositions. With the theme of marine knowledge and environmental education, an ‘ecological theme park’ on the west coast of Taiwan had been created to provide fishermen life experience to tourists.   The building adopts a "high-footed house" design and stands on the water surface that’s because of seawater intrusion, which can easily cause the water surface to rise and prevent the building from flooding.    The roof uses oyster shells, which can effectively reduce to be caused by acid rain Damage, and neutralize the acid and alkali from it.    The exterior wall uses baked wooden boards   which has the effect of preventing insects.   The three fishing boats next to the pavilion were originally abandoned fishing boats in Kaohsiung's Qijin Port.  After being painted by Taisi elementary school students, they are used as viewing platforms. Behind the fishing boats is the only parent-child sand pit along the coast of Yunlin, which is very popular.
