Since 2007 VYA has organized the international volunteer workcamp and painted for the community every summer and winter vacation.   For years, it has attracted many volunteers from different countries such as Japan, Korea Hongkong, Taiwan and so on to come to Taisi for community service.     They took their country flowers, cultures and stories to connect with local characters to decorate this village, that brought new vitality to Taisi and made this small fishing village more attractive by painting.   Participants can enjoy the artistic atmosphere of Taisi international art village while walking into different allies and looking for different treasures.

西元2007年，臺西藝術協會開始招募國際志工，每年寒暑假吸引來自世界各地的年輕人到訪，多年來由來自日本、韓國、香港及台灣等世界各地的志工，以社區服務的理念，用畫筆妝點傳統三合院，繪製國際花巷與國際故事等主題牆面，妝點社區，彩繪或融合各國風情、或展現在地漁村特色，為人口嚴重外流的臺西漁村注入新活力。其彩繪範圍之廣，主題之多，遍布大街小巷之中，值得遊客來此細細探索，在巷弄中享受尋寶探險般的樂趣。
