There were not only beauty salons, but also wholesale Chinese medicine shops and other shops. Many foreign businessmen would go to the theater to listen to the Taiwanese operas after getting a haircut in the beauty salon. It was once one of the best theaters in Taiwan and it also created the most prestigious Gongyue club (a Taiwanese opera Club) at that time. Later, the Gongyue club even Made the first Taiwanese film in Taiwan. Then foreign businessmen would go to the traditional century-old Chinese medicine shop to buy medicinal materials for sell, or to talk about business in the opium hall where there is only one wall left.
