Li Ying-ton, a Taiwanese elite who born in Xiluo during the Japanese occupied period,that is the prosperous era of past Xiluo . When he was young, he went abroad to Japan ,at that time he showed the spirit of thinking independence. When he finished his study in Japan , he came back to Xilou then served as the mayor of Xiluo Town, and also participated in the management of several commercial institutions . Despite of his illness at youg , his resilience and perseverance was evident as he grew up. During his studing period, his pursuit of justice and his demand for elegent life were particularly prominent, which also influenced his life later . Li Ying-ton’s life was full of struggles and great achievements of Xilou, his efforts promoted the continued building of the Xiluo Bridge, which not only connect the road trafic line of western Taiwan, but also promoted the development of local industries. His contribution to the development of Xiluo and the surrounding area is indispensable, he is an important and outstanding figure in the history of Xiluo.  

李應鏜，一位出身於日治時期西螺的臺灣菁英，見證了西螺富庶的時代。在他年輕時，曾前往日本本土求學，展現出獨立思考的精神。年輕時曾在西螺鎮擔任鎮長，同時也參與了多家商業機構的管理。李應鏜的家庭富裕，父親經營著日治時期南臺灣少數有執照的酒廠，而母親則是晚清秀才的女兒。儘管年幼時多病，但他的堅韌不拔在成長過程中展現無遺。在求學時期，他對於正義的追求和對生活品味的要求表現得尤為突出，這也影響了他日後的行事風格。李應鏜的一生充滿了奮鬥和成就，他的努力推動了西螺大橋的續設，這座橋樑的通車不僅貫穿臺灣西部的交通，更促進了地方產業的發展。他的貢獻對西螺及周邊地區的發展功不可沒，是西螺歷史上的一位傑出人物。
