When mentioning Mailiao Township, people think of Taiwan’s legendary Gongle Club. Gongle Club, also known as "Gong Yue Club", is an activity or a kind of performing art for the local young generation to practice opera in order to perform at the "Gong Fan Palace" in the Mazu Temple in Mailiao, Yunlin. Because of this, Gongle Club is famous for its " internal opera"; that is to say, it was performed only for the Gods in the temple, which incidentally made Gongle Club once the early representative of the heyday of Taiwanese opera after the Japanese left Taiwan. The actors at that time were proud of their origins in the Gong Music Clubs, including well-known TV opera artists Xu Xiunian and Lian Mingyue, Chen Meiyun of Taipei's "Meiyun Opera Troupe", Wang Chunmei of "Hanyang", Li Qiu'e of "Yilan Ying" ,etc.  

提到麥寮,就讓人想到台灣傳奇-拱樂社。「拱樂社」是雲林麥寮媽祖廟「拱範宮」的子弟戲,曾是日本人離台後早期歌仔戲內台戲鼎盛時期的代表,當時的演員都以出身拱樂社為榮,包括知名電視歌仔戲藝人許秀年、連明月、台北「美雲歌戲團」的陳美雲、「漢陽」的王春美、「宜蘭英」李秋娥等人。

After the restoration of Taiwan ,Taiwanese local operas flourished and internal operas become featured, which brought "GongLe Club" a period of opera kingdom years. However, Under the leadership of Chen Chengsan, a native of Yunlin Mailiao, the "Gongle Club" brough about changes , leading the innovation on Gezai opera ,and eventually made Gezai an important feature of Taiwanese opera.

「拱樂社」,一段過往輝煌的歌仔戲王國歲月,自台灣光復後,歌仔戲興盛,內台歌仔戲成為特色。「拱樂社」在雲林麥寮人陳澄三的領導下,為歌仔戲帶來變革,成為重要代表。

In the 40s of the Republic of China (1951), Chen Chengsan cooperated with director He Jiming to shoot "Xue Pinggui and Wang Baochuan", which set off a boom in Taiwanese film shooting and led the "Gongle Club" to a rapid rise, making the kingdom take its shape.

民國40年代(1951),陳澄三與何基明導演合作拍攝《薛平貴與王寶釧》,掀起台語影片拍攝熱潮,使得「拱樂社」發展迅速,王國雛形底定。之後更拍有「補破網」、「雨夜花」等電影,對台灣電影界貢獻良多。
